Ways to Improve Cable Companies in the U.S.

1.) A la carte channel buying, or even smaller bundles of channels

2.) More transparent pricing structures

3.) More empowered customer service representatives

4.) Remove confusing bundling of services with unclear time restrictions

5.) Break up regional monopolies

6.) Create publicly funded free-for-all low-speed internet service providers

7.) Eliminate malicious charges (equipment rental, strange fees, etc)

8.) Strip down infrastructure: smaller, regional, specialized companies could offer single service (internet or cable tv) at a lower cost

9.) Provide structure and instructions for customer installation, rather than agent installation

10.) Better integration with online services (Bill Pay as well as entertainment cloud services)
